I think that there are several professors that do not actually teach the topic they are supposed to teach, and instead ramble on about whatever they would like to. Often even their personal lives! I love establishing connections with professors, however I would highly advise students to check rate my professor, even if the professor is tenured.

Being from out of state I was really nervous to attend a school a bit out of my comfort zone, but in a leap of faith I wouldn't change attending Boise State for anything. Boise State has amazing professors and classes starting right off the bat your freshman year to help set you up for success for the next 4 years! I would highly HIGHLY recommend that if you have the opportunity to take any of Jared Tally's classes TAKE THOSE CLASSES he is an amazing professors who is so passionate about teaching and help you along your personal journey as you make your own mark on the world.

I chose BSU due to it being close to home and due to having lots of friends attending as well. I was pleased with the Sawtooth dorm that I lived in. The rooms are good size and the full size bed was a huge plus. The atmosphere was welcoming and diverse. There are many groups and clubs to chose from. Attending sporting events was a highlight of my freshman year. The student section at the football games had tons of energy and we always had a great time. The student union building had many fun activities going on. I spent a lot of time in the rec center working out, playing basketball, and using the sauna. One of the major drawbacks for me was the lack of parking. Another issue I had was the quality of the cafeteria food. I feel like I was challenged academically and was able to find help when I needed it. I liked the option of being able to have online classes as well. Overall , I had a great experience at BSU.
